Mychael Taunrue Pollard is a native Washingtonian from Southeast Washington, D.C. Although he is known for performing with the Progressive Hip-Hop trio “Triflava” and many others from coast to coast, He’s also a Graduate from Duke Ellington School of the Arts in the Instrumental Music department (2003)

Pollard is a Pianist/Keyboardist,Multi-Instrumentalist,Producer,Arranger & Composer. He is known for playing the Aboriginal instrument called the Yidaki aka Didgeridoo.

His influences varies from Classical,R&B,Classic Rock,Progressive Rock,Jazz,Fusion,Hip-Hop/Rap,Soul,World Music & More.

Pollard has performed at Blues Alley, Kennedy Center/Millennium Stage, Jammin’ Java, Sculpture Garden, The Mansion at Strathmore,CBGB, Crash Mansion, Joes Pub, Twins Jazz and more.

He is featured on the up-coming album tribute to “The Mahavishnu Orchestra with John McLaughlin Redefined:Volume II” and he’s releasing his very own solo album called “Plethora” which is coming soon to a ear near you.
