CHHS Depression Project

Every year more than 19 million Americans suffer from some type of depressive illness. Most depression cases are treatable; more than 80% of the people with clinical depression can successfully recover and resume normal happy and productive lives.

The Centers for Healthy Hearts and Souls celebrates life, encouraging people to join faith and good health. Learn how to help yourself, a friend, or relative to recognize the signs and seek assistance for depression. Begin by talking with your primary care physician or a friend.

The organization came to Park Triangle to create a short project that would be used at Pittsburgh Area community centers to spark the conversation around identifying depression.
